"Sinking of the USS Corntassel"

"Will Noon," his pen name, is really William Noonkesser.  He's a resident of Alaska and a close friend of Kenny's since 1965.  They have shared many, many memories and adventures.  Noonkesser writes, here, a humorous version of a true story.  "Corntassel" is Kenny's wife's nickname for him.  It comes from the big crop of hair Kenny had when she met him in the early 1940s, as his old photos will reveal. This story is a good example of a day in the life of Kenny and Bokie living the life of homesteaders in the Alaska outdoors.
