Former Wyoming Cowboys Who Played Pro Basketball at the time of Kenny Sailors – 1946-1951

Kenny Sailors played professional basketball from 1946-1951. He played in the new Basketball Association of America (BAA) for three seasons and in the newly-formed National Basketball Association (NBA) his final two seasons. During Kenny’s years as a pro he played with or against several men who had played at the University of Wyoming. The following lists those players, the year(s) they were at Wyoming, the years they played in either the BAA or NBA,** the pro teams to which they belonged, and the seasons they played on the same team with Kenny or with an opponent. A couple of players, Nostrand and Volker, did both.

** This list does not include the years in which players such as Komenich, Todorovich, and Volker played in the old professional National Basketball League (NBL) prior to its merger with the BAA to form the NBA in 1949. Kenny Sailors didn’t play in the NBL and, therefore, wouldn’t have encountered these former Wyoming Cowboys until they came into the NBA
