Vote for Kenny!

Kenny Sailors has been chosen by the NCAA as one of the best 75 "March Madness" tournament players of all time.  Now, the NCAA is going to whittle that down to the very best of the best - the Top 15

This decision will be made by a public vote of basketball fans + votes from "experts" selected by the NCAA

This is where you come in . . .

By going to the website - www.ncaa.com - you can vote for Kenny to be among the Top 15.  The more votes he gets, and the earlier the better, his chances to make an impression on the experts will improve

Three explanatory links are listed below: 1) a press release from the University of Wyoming which explains the whole matter, 2) a copy of a front page from a New York City newspaper the day after Wyoming won the NCAA title (Kenny stands just to the right of the championship trophy in the picture), and 3) a detailed set of voting guidelines I drew up and which worked for me - if you need them

If you don't need the voting guidelines - and you may not - two things still are important to know: 1) you have to vote for 5 players to make your vote for Kenny count, and 2) the "Remove" button is only used if you want to change your mind and vote for someone else.  Other than this, the website gives pretty clear instructions how to proceed for those who know how to navigate such displays

The Top 15 tournament players will be invited to the Final Four in Atlanta at the beginning of April and introduced on court, among other honors.  It would be great to have Kenny among them.  FYI: At the 50th anniversary of the tournament Kenny was selected as the tournament player of the 1940s.  But that was a long time ago, and it will be harder for older players - such as Kenny - to be remembered, again, and to get votes without our help

Please, also, spread the word to others you know who may be willing to vote for Kenny Sailors, and . . .

THANK YOU FOR VOTING FOR Kenny!
