Speaking about players who influenced the game of basketball in his day, Coach Joe Lapchick of the St. John's Redmen said,

"Still, (Hank) Luisetti and Kenny Sailors of Wyoming have to be the two who most influenced the game in my time. Luisetti came out of the West with that one-hander, and Sailors started the one-hand jumper which is probably the shot of the present and future."
