Sailors Sparks 56 to 52 Win

Cowboys Stave off Late Rally to Defeat Allbright College

Reading, PA., Dec. 24 - (UP) -

Sparkplug Kenny Sailors, Wyoming's brilliant forward, came through in the pinches tonight as the Cowboys staved off a late rally by Allbright college to win 56-52. Sailors led the game's scoring with 19 points.

Wyoming held the upper hand most of the way, holding a comfortable 37-28 halftime margin. But, it was late in the closing minutes that Allbright began closing the gap and forced the Cowboys onto the defensive.

Just the opposite of Wyoming's game last night at Pittsburgh. Duquesne cagers held Kenny Sailors to five points while his scoring mate, big Milo Komenich, went to town with 15 points. Tonight Komenich was held down and it was Sailors' night.

The game gave the Cowboys a one-one average in the win and loss column in their first two games played on their junket through the east.

Coach Ev Shelton and his ten-man squad will leave Reading for Philadelphia Christmas day where they will lay over three days and engage LaSalle university Saturday night. Monday night the Cowboys will move on to New York City perparatory to meeting St. Francis of New York in Madison Square Garden Wednesday night.
